GROWTH HORMONE
Ipamorelin
Also known as NNC 26-0161
Ipamorelin is a GH secretagogue studied in limited human contexts, including endocrine and post-operative research. This entry summarises reference data; combinations with other secretagogues belong to research or reported-use contexts and are not recommendations.
Reference dose range
100–300 mcg
Reported frequency
One to three times daily in research references
Reported routes
Subcutaneous, Intramuscular
Short half-life; dosing-frequency references come from research contexts rather than approved use.

Mechanism
Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide growth-hormone secretagogue and ghrelin-receptor (GHSR) agonist. It stimulates pituitary GH release. Early studies describe greater selectivity than some GHRPs, with less observed effect on cortisol and prolactin, but these findings depend on study context and dose.
Reported effects
Increased GH secretion described in human studies
Body-composition changes remain weakly demonstrated by adequate trials
Lower cortisol/prolactin signal than some GHRPs in early comparative studies
Commonly reported side effects
Increased hunger, generally less prominent than with GHRP-6
Certainty and limits
GH-stimulating activity in humans is described, but benefits for body composition, recovery or healthy ageing remain extrapolated. The evidence does not support broad clinical promises.
